Has anyone hear of the Fulminex company?. They are selling a few laser pointer models and giving few real details and what seems like exaggerated claims.
No, I never removed the lens from the head. I have since gotten the beam to a finer focus. Maybe I am being unrealistic by comparing the best focal point of this laser to that of my 3 watt blue unit. That thing focuses down to a tip of a needle point....
The head makes 6 complete revolutions from being all the way in to just before it becomes loose and will come off.
The lens within the head will make at least 6 full turns, if not more. I have counted the full extent of travel of the lens within the head. With the combination of the two; there...
The glue wasn't too hard to overcome. There is plenty of travel for the lens within the head.
It's going to be a matter of trial and error to zero-in on the lens position to get the focal point that I am looking for....the one that should have been pre-set by the manufacturer.
That is the goal, exactly!...I can get a tiny point on the wall, 8 feet away, but I can't seem to get the same focus a few inches ahead of the aperture.
For the person who asked if there was enough threads to adequately move the lens in and out; there seems to be plenty...and I was able to easily "break" the glue that was originally securing the lens. I can adjust the lens or head, or a combination of the two, so there is a very wide spot on the...
I have a fairly new GX3, 200mw green laser that I bought from Big Lasers. My current guess is that I over-payed for this unit....
It has a strong beam and I don't dispute it's advertised power.
The problem I am having is to get it to focus to a focal point.
I also have a 3000mw Sanwu blue laser...
Well, the correct, 16340s will be delivered by this Saturday. I tried a few days ago with a black balloon and nothing!....then I used my 200mw 532nm green and it popped almost instantaneously....I will try again with the correct batteries and focus it as you suggest...then see where I go from...
Toward the end of this week, I should have the 16340 batteries for this laser....I will re-try everything with them and then decide if I got screwed over buying this thing from Sanwu.....I have been using non-rechargeable CR123a's while waiting for the 16340sw to arrive....maybe they ren't...
