I would think it is difficult to vary laser output. The white diffuser that shipped with my W30 last week is awesome for flood. Bit of a pita to screw and unscrew diffuser but the light has a second use now. I am guessing the W40/50 will use 2, 3 or 4 blue lasers and 2 or 3 x 21700/18650 cells...
