Well if you're using it outside, pointing it night skies, no need to wear glasses as long as you're handling it safely. But if you're going to use it to burn paper, light matches, pop baloons, anything where it's hitting a surface less than quite a distance away from you, glasses are the way to go.

Every item I've recieved from DD has been on spec +/- %10, which I believe is reasonable. Or WAY overspec, 50mw = 147mw, 50mw = 121mw and 50mw = 98mw. All of these were the same model however, probably one of the only items I'd be comfortable buying from DD. 50mW 532nm Handheld Powerful Green...

When I bought a 50mw 405 from DD, albeit a pen build, it metered out at 44mw. It was also only $16, so I was satisfied with the purchase.
