I agree.
Before getting my lathe I found a local machinist and gave him the dimensions of a heatsink I wanted him to make, After explaining the idea he charged me 50$ to make it. After I got it the dimensions we're all hairs off i.e the AixiZ module slipped through the hole instead of press fit...
Just a note. The dimensions I gave were for the 3D cell battery maglight. As far as I've heard you can give the 445 diodes a little more juice than what was first thought. So I think the 4D cell would work, but don't quote me on that as I am using the 3D cell. :P

Thanks guys ! and ya sorry about the pic sizes...
Awesome ! Your going to have to post pics when you make it ! I plan on getting one from scopeguy20 when he gets his in. But I have yet to decide what host I should put it in. hmmm
If I could make a suggestion you should take out the HS and sand down the end so you can close it all the way. It would look better and you would be able to twist it all the way down
Yes the second one looks a lot brighter but you have to also take into consideration the fog which would cause more dissipation of light. Virtually any beam is brighter with fog. But without that just side by side there isn't much of a difference.
