Awesome cheap Chinese Galvo Kit! But I have few questions.

No mine was not €500. I bought it somewhere in 2018 I think and only start using it since yesterday... But I really like the animations it can produce. And now I am looking how to make the projector angle smaller I will try getting the ILDA pattern; they gave me +500 animations on the SD card...

Awesome cheap Chinese Galvo Kit! But I have few questions.

Well as first, lack of simple and clear tutorials, videos and documentation is missing all over this laser hobby IMHO. Now to my galvo's: as I said when the projector has to make small figures it is buttersmooth, but for instance, as a pattern grows in size on the wall, the image gets...

Awesome cheap Chinese Galvo Kit! But I have few questions.

Hi, I have this awesome Chinese Ebay/Alie RGB with galvo kit and it works! But there is zero documentation. Seller knows nothing and I could not find any info on other places. The problem is that the galvo scanner angle/degree is to large for most animations. Its buttersmooth with simple...

DIY Thermal LPM for under $50

Huge bump. I am back from gone and want to make this LPM. I do have al the components. But now the V2.0 schematic (post#541) from Mariomaster is gone!:banghead: Who has it? Mariomaster hasnt been online for a long time.

465nm closed can 2.6w rated diode

Kick:p Thought this was interesting and hoped someone has tried this diode by now. Would you guys still go for a NUBM07E?

    NUBM44 6W+ 450nm Laser Diode

sorry, one thing lead to an other. I would like to do that but I think I was getting flamed for double posting. Build is finished... I'll visit you guys again in 2017 or so when the new generation diodes are ready :na:

    NUBM44 6W+ 450nm Laser Diode

I really like the stuff you sold :thanks: I have a question about wavelength. I have no equipment to measure wavelength unfortunately, but I can compare with my other two blue lasers. My M140 is not relevant, forget that one. Too much purple. The other one is a PLTB450b that I drive @ ~1800mA...

    NUBM44 6W+ 450nm Laser Diode

Thank you, yours are nice too  Why don't you upload pics on tinypic.com (for instance) and paste the link between this: [IMG*]http://the link that the upload website provides.jpg[/IMG*] minus the '*' I advise to upload 800x600 resolution, maybe little bigger, not too much

    NUBM44 6W+ 450nm Laser Diode

Yeah :) Just read my post all the way down page 24. Post #384 edit: here it is: I called it a lab supply My bad I think its heat in combination with insufficient heat sinking I talk too much

    NUBM44 6W+ 450nm Laser Diode

That was not clear? Yeah, pretty nice one :eg: 0-15V 0-60A 0-30V 0-30A 0-60v 0-15A It has a 3 way switch I must choose from It's a switching power supply. I know that has its cons. But I am happy with it :) Ow, I thought it was called a lab supply, my bad

    NUBM44 6W+ 450nm Laser Diode

Both. There is an ammeter build-in the lab supply. And there is an ammeter (multimeter) between driver and diode. The lab supply is powering the driver, the driver is powering the laser diode. I know I have written a lot. But all info in on the last three pages

    NUBM44 6W+ 450nm Laser Diode

I can not say anything useful about output without the ammeter. Either way it is bright as hell. what I do know is that the heat problem also occurs without ammeter. I think the issue is heat. Here is a crazy thought: Is it possible that the heat from the driver is lowering the resistance in...

    NUBM44 6W+ 450nm Laser Diode

I replaced the aluminium with plastic. Unfortunately the problem is not solved. Only got bigger It started again @ 4.1xx mA and it goes up from there. along with the temperature. Much faster than with the aluminium holder. I measured at least 74 degree Celsius (165.2 degrees Fahrenheit) on the...

    NUBM44 6W+ 450nm Laser Diode

True, I know :) But the way you say it makes it look to me like you are saying it is not worth the money. I don't use many meters of it, I think it is worth that little extra money. It has the right colours (red and black.) In local hardware stores here in Holland, most of their wires are...

    NUBM44 6W+ 450nm Laser Diode

Thank you :) Everyone's help is very welcome and much appreciated And I wanted to let you guys know how I actually tested it. So there it is in my previous posts. But I still would like to know what is wrong with my driver or where I f*cked up
