i have the true 30mW already, and its fun, but i want MORE!! heh... how much does the 200mW put out in terms of 532nm? in other words... has anyone tested the amount of IR power coming out vs GREEN power?

ehhh... not exactly there MW1111.... if you let time=$. then you would have $ x $ which comes out to ($)^2. so you would have money squared.

all i know is that non DVD burning drives do not have the 650nm diode in them. only the 808. and yeah, the glass isnt IR... sorry... i think its some sort of filter, but i have only found them on IR diodes.... good luck!

20X LD is open can by my understandings. depending on the snugness of fit of the heat sink, i would say a minute or two would be safe with a minute or two cooling off.

thats a IR diode for sure. the glass is the IR filter. you need to get the diode from a DVD RW. just because it sayd DVD/CD RW doesnt mean it is a DVD RW / CD RW. usually means it is a DVD drive/ CD RW drive. give us a picture and we could probably help you out some

Re: Open Can with TEC thats pretty awesome man! You should have no problem lining up that beam across a field or somthing, haha... the problem i have with the dorcy is how it is not flat so it always points up.... i might make a foam mounting block for it or somthing. Looks awesome!
