Hey Ash, I don't know if you remember me, but I had asked a question a few weeks ago about swapping out a diode in a party laser I had. I posted a new topic yesterday of all the innards and was wondering if you could take a look at it and maybe provide some advice.
Thanks,
Dio
So taking the advice of Ash in a thread I made a few weeks ago, I'm going to post a few pictures of the internals of a current laser I have. Hopefully you guys can give me a hand figuring some things out. Pictured below is Scorpion LGX Laser opened up. I originally wanted to flat out replace the...
Yah, I realized after I talked to a customer service rep. They told me that some of the lasers on the site had mistakenly indicated the wrong wires. Also apparently the voltage listed was wrong, as they told me to use a 9V and it works.
As far as the lens goes, its twisted as far clockwise as...
Well in case anyone is wondering, I tried a 9V battery and it works! Hooray! Unfortunately, the beam is VERY unfocused. Does this type of module housing accept different lenses? And where can I possibly procure such a lens?
I'm really not very experienced at all with lasers. I purchased this particular module here: Violet Purple Blue Laser Module Focused Dot M405D80-3-1670: 80mW 405n
From ankaka.com. So I figured since I had no other power source and had read on this forum that it would work, I first taped 2 AA...
Thanks!
As silly as it may sound, I went with the 405nm because I really like the color and intent to use it with a fog machine so hopefully it will be decently visible or maybe I'll combine with a green module to try something else. The other reason is I can't really afford a 445nm and don't...
Very impressive work and thank you for the information! It would be intended for home use / parties since I'm not a professional DJ or anything of the sort. The reason I decided to go with the 80mW violet was because I knew it wasn't the most easily visible but was hesitant about going too...
Hello, I have in my possession a Chauvet Scorpion LGX laser. The laser contains in it a 10mW green laser which it diffuses (I think is the correct term) using "fat beam" technology which produces wider beams that are safer to use. I was thinking of doing a project that would entail replacing the...
