I think it is how the licence system works, it is when you get the license that the ThunderOptics option is activated.
The best is you contact Friedrich, the developper of the software or see with ThunderOptics directly. I do not remember how it folded for me, just that after some...
I had the same problem, but you have t o uploadthe latest version, and get the license it costs 30Euros.
Here is what i get :
it is terrific, really to control the unit with thissoftware.
I see ...
I have remouved all the slit with the three screws .. i had no tighny screwdriver ...
So, i think that definitly, you are right, the problem is not in the filter but in the allignement of the slit.
Many thanks for the precious help
To my turn to share a news for those who are...
Yes it is a new,
The spectrometer shows as ThunderOptics, and i was directed to them to buy the license.
But really for 30Euros ... it is a veru good software
@ Chloderic, I am going to put bac the filter tonight and see the allignement problem
Hi guys !
a very very good news ! For a good Raman software, the Spectragryph software has been addapted to our BW Tek spectrometer. I got a licence for 30Euros and it is terrific
have a look :
Many thanks Chloderic four your answer,
In fact, i was very very careful when i remouved the filter, and i am "quite sure" thatit is in its place,
I was thinking that may be i had modified the "light path" when i remouved it.
It is why i am asking if other have seen such effect?
Also ... i am...
I have been playing around with the spectrometers (i have 4, two that i have already burned ...)
I took off the low pass filter and i saw that the spectrometer is no longer alligned and I have to re-alligne it.
Did any one did this operation after remouving the lowpass filter from...
I am sorry if i am that bad in electronics.
Do you mean that with this PCB you just need the optical banch and this green PCB to make the spectrometer work and work better?
can you, please, explane why you need this PCB board, is it just to make the spectrometer going fast?
Hi Every one.
Chloderic, as for the resolution, I think that you can not get more than that with the unit. I tried myself changing the slit and putting a thiner with no results.
I contacted the guy of Science-Surplus if they can do some thing, he answered that they tried and it is the best that...
I want to change the grating, and i was asking if some one has done it before, and with which thikness he used (3mm or 6 mm) for the grating.
As the one installed has 3mm, and those available in the market are 6mm.
I do agree with you, in point of view of diffraction, but in terms of focusing le light the thikness may play some role as the light path will be shorter ... don't you think ?
and 3mm (the one inside the spectrometer has 3mm thikness, and the one available has 6mm) over 20mm...
Dear Every one,
For those that have changed already the grating. The grating in the Thorlabs link has 6mm thikness, do you think it will work fine, as the one inside the spectrometer is only 3mm think>
Thanks for the help
