Oh wow you're right. My numbers are waaaay off!
My first pointer was the ThinkGeek green pointer which is a 5mW pointer. For some reason, I was convinced that it was a 50mw. This explains sooooo much.
No no no you're absolutely right. I'm reasonably certain I'm covered on all front. O-like was...
Nnnngh okay problem.
That I've already experienced, I think.
I can't get a 100mW laser in the US, can I?
I used O-Like last year, trying to get lasers that could pop balloons to install in a set of replica proton packs, but the shipment took too long and the lasers were utter garbage.
What...
Just played around with this a little bit and yeah, the lens in the laser level is going to be PERFECT.
So now I need a laser that runs off of 12 volts. Any good suppliers for that sort of thing? Where do I look (domestically)?
I thought of that, but I'm afraid it will diffuse the beam too much and it will look like crap.
But I'm new at this and you guys are pretty pro, suggestions for a leveler that I can dissect?
Also: 5x cost disparity between line generator lens and a leveler...
But I could have a leveler...
Awweeeeesome info!!!
Do you guys think I should find a way to turn the lens back and forth, or the whole assembly? I mean, turning the reflector will work just as well, right?
Sweeet!
Can I just disassemble that pointer and wire it up to the car? I'd imagine I'd need something that is meant for 12v?
Also, here ya go!
Check out Colorado Movie Cars on Facebook for waaaaay more fun! ;)
Oh cool!
What would you guys recommend for somewhat powerful emitter (visible without fog) that is also inexpensive?
And yeah, green is what I was thinking, too!
Hey folks!
I've been lurking here for a little while as I try to get myself up to speed with laser terminology and functionality, and I'm afraid I've hit a bit of a brick wall. It's my own fault, as I seem to be having trouble translating this huge wealth of information into knowledge that...
