oh thats a nice display piece.
I used to have a Neon test box with a transformer built-in and like 10 different tubes with different gases/powder mixtures for showing sign customers the different options.
that was fun to play with.
So I got this game from Think Geek awhile back called Khet

And aside from the "wow it's a laser game" factor, it is a ton of fun to play.
Now there is an expansion called Eye of Horus. This consists of 2 beam splitters (11.99 for the set)

Seriously, I have one of the 200mw Sky lasers and I know damn well that thing can burn my skin so I don't even chance it.
hell since my goggle broke when I was moving I haven't even touched it.
for a second I thought this was a thread for how to make your own money lol.
Those are some insane bills. I think the treasury would cry if anyone tried to cash even one of them.

Yeah these are things I think about =)
Awesome info heruursciences

As far as the power, there isn't an easy way to test the power that I know of. Can you...
a Green and Red laser of the same power, the Green will burn faster/better.
As far as focusing them, that comes down to optics and a steady hand. One thing to remember is the further you want to burn something the harder it is because
A)you need a steady hand
B)you need a more powerful laser...
How rugged the sight is comes down to how it's constructed.
One of the most important things is to make sure ALL your connections are
A) tight
B) Well solders
C) remove as much "wiggle" room from all components as you can (example when I make mine, cause I do have one planned, I am going to...
