Re: What to point laser at that WON' burn?
Thanks didn’t realize it was an option on the advanced page.
Thanks for the suggestions guys, I was looking for something I might have around the house, I’m not sure I have any of that but I’ll have to look around tonight and see what I got.
Ah, okay, thanks guys. Tried to look it up but it was a bit confusing. I knew 532 lasers were more expensive but didn’t know the exact reasoning. I’ve always been a green guy so I always wanted a nice 532, but those high powered ones are crazy expensive.
520nm isn’t bad but I definitely prefer...
Just curious, why are there no 532nm? Are these not sold to regular buyers? 532nm seemed like a better green than the 520, in my opinion. But I know that 532nm is pretty expensive at high mW.
Also, I see a 530nm. Would a person even be able to tell the difference really?(versus 532)
With a 2 watt blue laser, it starts burning anything pretty quickly. If I want to set the laser down and leave it on for a bit, what can I use as a sort of background to point it at, that won't burn? Any ideas?
I figured this might already be asked but I couldn't find anything when searching.
Hello everyone, it has been a long time since I have visited this forum. But I have been watching lots of laser videos lately and it sparked my interest again.
I have a blue laser already and now I have been looking at getting a green laser around 100mw. Of course green lasers are always more...
There's actually a sticky about it and if you click LPF Search, two buttons over from the regular search drop down button, it brings you too it. Very helpful.
All I have to say is I did search and nothing came up. I even googled and only found one thread on some other forum. Guess I just didn't try the right search terms. I spent quite a few minutes looking too. I knew this had to be a question asked several times, so I was very surprised not to find...
Yes I searched and did not find much. And yeah I mainly meant laser pointers.
I see some people on here that have 20+ lasers and such, which seems crazy. Actually Blaster looks like you are one of them haha.
Just wondering what some practical uses for lasers are. I'm surprised by how big this community is considering it just seems like beams of light that we pretty much just wave around, or burn things if we have enough power. I mean hell it's pretty damn cool, I'm doing it too, but still.
I know...
I was actually reading an article about this today. While the legal limit(lol) is 5mw, whoever did the article tested various ones, and some rated as high as around 70mw. They were freaking out about it.
I mean yeah it could be a little bad, but clearly these are every day people who have no...
Re: Big thanks to LPF
It's awesome that you mention this. I'm surprised you are so new considering all the posts you have, I've seen you all over already haha.
Anyways I started a while back and had help getting my first laser(Looking at when I joined, it was more than a couple years ago...
