For example (just my curiosity), with this diodes at 130mA the beam brightness from how far can it be seen? Let's say if I aim the beam at the sky and someone looks at me, the beam would be visible from what distance? 20m? More? I have a house in the pyrenees, wouldn't like someone walking by...

I've unscrewed the lens of some of my pockets, they use to put a small bit of glue on the front so they don't move by accident, but if you make a bit of force, you can do it. These are the tweezers that I use for it:

Pretty sure that they would sell. The diode they use are the SB217HL91/HN91, the one with the messy pinout and 6V required, and they are powering that diode with a single 10440.

X299's are hot as hell, thanks in part to Intel's "ginius" idea of not soldering them ._. What mobo will you use? The Apex?

My 7700K at 5Ghz with 1.29V totally agrees with you. My 1700X at 3.975Ghz with 1.34V not so much :D

Just curious, what CPU costing that much in 2011 were you trying to delid?? By that time, the high end platform was still soldered, no point on delidding (unlike the actual X299)

What material is this host made out of?

Looking at the results, why do I have the feeling that running them at 100-200mA is just vastly underdriving them?? A.
