Took a cell phone charger with 5V output, placed a diode in series then soldered it to the gutted bad charger. Charged the batteries for 4 hours. Worked like a charm. Laser is blindingly bright. Woo-Hoo !!
Understood. I have several laptop batteries that may have cells that are still ok. Planned to re-cycle them but may just open them and see what's inside. Any dangers with charging them in my 18650 charger?
So I bought a 445 laser kit and got all hyped over starting it up for the first time only to be disappointed in my batteries.
I got a pair of 18650 batteries and charger from DX. Charger green lamp comes on when plugged in and batteries installed. Voltage across them while in charger never...
Re: PHR-803T Sleds IN STOCK READY TO SHIP $13.50~1
His website said he had 27 in stock when i sent payment.
Ordered mine on 11 dec and am STILL waiting. Tonight I PM and emailed asking for full refund.
He blamed it on the weather and multiple misc reasons, blah blah blah. I sent my $ and now...
I keep seeing people recommend a 1 ohm resistor to measure current. Good idea to get you in the ball park but the tolerances of most resistors is 5 percent. If it's off enough you can fry your diode.
I recommend you set your DMM on the lowest resistance setting, shorting the leads, note the...
How do i get the diode pressed further in?
I pressed to pretty firm in a vise with the back of the can.
What does the tool look like/ I can pictur eit but how do you keep it straight in a vise using the can and a tool?
Built my first Blu ray tonight used a DX red laser housing. Had to sand off a little off the part that holds the diode. With the lense screwed all the way in it was still not focused well enough to burn. diode to lense distance was too far apart. Works great at 85mA. Took it out into the...
