I'd forget the NUBM07 and I'd suggest going with an NUBM0C instead. It's the same 465nm+ but rated at 4.1W instead of 2.9W of the 07 and has divergence between the 07 and 44. The divergence of the 0C is better than the 0G, 0F, 44, 08 etc. Use it with a G8 lens, run it at 4A and be happy with...
I believe it's single line as indicated by 2218-010SLCPEB and rated at 10mW, I remember most of the single line units seemed to be 488nm. There are other items they list as multiline 458-515nm that have SL in the model # but I believe they are mistaken and are just reading the warning label...

There are some confusing parts of your post.. DTR's module is also 'full copper' and by designating your 30mm module as 'full copper' you are in a way suggesting to the reader that DTR's is not.
There are two halves to each module. You appear to only be measuring the contact patch of the back...

Edit- Yikes, looks like their going rate today is $635, I guess having slightly higher beam quality than the Sharp diodes would have to be worth that premium.
I was on LaserTack's site earlier today and they have some of those preproduction Sharp units at 495nm for something like 140 Euros, expensive but it's the first I've heard of those rare wavelength Sharps being sold in a long time.

Thank you! Now I'm curious about how the NUBM0C compares to the JLD480. Also, is the JLD480 really the NUBM0G? It seems to have the same or similar specs and is also just hitting the market.
Any chance you would do a divergence comparison between that new diode and your nubm07 with a given lens, like a g8 or a g2? I dont know if using that gball adapter is going to mess up results unless the same adapter is being used on both diodes, though.
