Just a couple general questions about building lasers

Differentiate between 'Optical Power Output' ( what you are really interested in) and 'Electrical Power Dissipation' (what should be considered in build design). Ohm's law will give you power dissipation from the current draw on the batt.s As already stated, optical power is related to diode...

808nm appears red to me like 650nm, why?

Changing the laser in a laser sight?

I don't know where 'Gabe' gets his info, but it ain't correct. In answer to your question, the answer is a resounding 'NO'. You'll have to rip the grip to shreds and a green module will not fit. I can't say about a true green diode, but to screw up a $300 - $400 pair of grips, to then add a...

Can't Wait To How Long It Is Before Someone....

What with folks talking about incorporating Water Cooled CPU Heat Sinks in drivers and Diode modules.... I can't wait to see how long its gonna be before someone talks about incorporating Water Cooled Resistors in their 'man-portable pointer' : Do you need to save space? » DesignSpark I can...

Looking for a recommendation - quadcopter

If you are really committed to learning to fly, don't waste your time on "mini-quads" and/or "mini-Hexies" (things like 250's, and such). Larger and heavier birds are more stable (once tuned in) and much more resistant to 'crash damage'. Parts are more expensive, but you'll end up buying far less.

    xxxxx thumbs down for dishonesty

Ok so he decided to sell to someone else instead, or perhaps he did get confused? Perhaps he'd been contacted by someone prior to your message and was still negotiating the price? Either way this doesn't really make him a dishonest person. This would be the case if he cheated someone, or never...
