I have a RadioShack 63-1040 red laser pointer manufactured in March of 1994 and I was wondering how much it is worth. It is 4.5V N5x3. Hopefully this is the right forum.

Thank you

I have no idea what kind of laser that is. Is it a gas laser, like a He-Ne, or a pointer? Do you have a photo? Need more that a RS part number and year.

Yes, it still works. I would think the value might be a bit higher than normal now that RadioShack is gone.

Radio Shack wasn't known for their high quality. These lasers that may have cost a lot back in 1994 are now very inexpensive and of higher output powers. It is likely not worth your time trying to sell it.

That's pretty cool I love retro gadgets. I have no idea what the value would be though.

Probably would just hold onto it if I were you. Doubt you will get much of an offer here.

Could try putting it on ebay for $100 and see if anyone takes it, but I doubt it.

Well, that'd be about $132 in today's money.

Yes, but you can buy a laser pointer that does as well if not better for $2.00 new today. It is a used old laser pointer. How much do you think a used cell phone from the same period would be worth to anybody now?

Haha, yes very true. Was only kidding. But I do believe it has some value to RadioShack fans. Sentimental value.

There is a guy on PL that collects old Lasers.
Maybe he would be interested. Goes by the
name "Eidetic".

Yes it would.
I'd keep it, RadioShack products have a cult following.
I've got a clone TRS-80 computer made by an Aussie company called Dick Smith that was our version of RadioShack and I'm keeping it for sentimental reasons.

:)
