I want to buy this laser:

PL 520nm 532nm 100-1000

532nm 300mW (FDA). Is it really 1.5 kg? And will it be sent in 2 packages so I will receive it for sure (just like TheJoker does it)? Dont wanna waste 225$ and the laser wont even get to me. I live in Switzerland by the way.

Best regards!

It will be shipped in a smaller case for protection they do this for all PL lasers but its the actual packaging that they estimate to be 1,5kg, its slightly less then that tho the laser isnt that heavy but feels solid and built like a tank. They only send 1 package what you see in pictures is what you get except for batteries they never send that as its forbidden today.

And no u wont get wasted this is one of the most serious laser websites to buy from, i havent heard of anyone NOT recieving their laser really.

They're a reputable site and you probably won't be disappointed. It will be sent in one box most likely.

Nice thank you guys. So this sounds perfect. Then I will need some goggles (i know which ones to get) but I do not know which batteries and where to get them from? Maybe you guys could help me out here?

And yet thesel asers are not IR filtered which is bad in regard of your eye protection I heard. Can anybody report on that?

The IR is a byproduct of how the green light is created, it is not collimated/focused, and doesn't present much of a hazard unless you're very close to the aperture. At which point the green light will have damage already anyway.

You can ask them to install an IR filter for a small fee if you're worried.

I cant see the option to add an IR filter at the checkout. Am i missing something?

Wouldn't these come with IR filters? I've only ever seen the cheapest of 532nm lasers not come with an IR filter. They seem pretty standard on anything of reasonable quality.

It's been my experience that green lasers are not IR filtered, unless otherwise specified, as a standard.

I think the rationale there is, the green light represents by far the greatest danger, and even the most efficient IR filter does still reduce output somewhat. Not to mention it's an extra component and cost.

Jetlasers TiB for example, are not IR filtered, unless you asked Jetlasers to add one in. Don't know about the other models.

None of my Skylasers were IR filtered either.

This makes me reconsider my whole purchase... dont know if i want to buy this IR filter or not. How much output reduction are we talking here?

I'd expect maybe a 5% loss in green output. If it's much more than that then it's because the filter is low quality but even a cheap filter should be able to reach that number just fine. Loss in total output would be higher if the IR output is at all significant.
