Nice beam shots!

Did you build the laser yourself? Also are you sure of the output, as it could possibly be higher?

Re: 1.9W 445nm SH-032 (New :)

This Laser was a Build from RDTech: http://laserpointerforums.com/members/rdtech/. This is his website: http://www.visiblediodelasers.com/ He was tolerant of my noob questions and always replied quickly via email, LPF, or txt. The quality is solid. It does not get hot at the 30 sec. duty cycle. The supplied glasses work great and the battery does not get hot while in use or charging (I thought it would). It has a 9mm single element focus lens with a SL focus adaptor and anything I focus it on seams to smoke instantly. I have since bought Eagle Pair Glasses, an AW 18650 Panasonic 3400mAh battery, and some dust caps... The beam shots outside are awesome. BTW, I did take out my turtle before I shot the fishtank... The feeder fish will be fine :p Ya, I thought about the tree burning, but its close to the door :p

^^^^ ha ha, dude you just indiscriminately burn stuff. It looked like the tree was shooting a laser. Be careful not to screw the focus lense in too far, i did and it grabbed ahold of the whole assembly and it all backseated from the head of the host, I had to construct a spanner wrench by jerry rigging an old plotting compass and fix it. Actually be careful no matter what you do with lasers, they aren't really shock proof for the most part. Also, the copper heatsink does move heat away from the diode quicker but it holds the heat longer. I like chilling mine on a window sill (its 29 deg. F outside BTW) I can get about a good minute if not more.

Now when I find one to use on my Recurve Bow, that has sight mounts on it, then we will be in business...

I used to have a Matthews solo cam I wouldn't mount a laser though I have 3 pins set for different distances and I wouldn't really know how to zero in the laser.

Did you really shoot your laser at the aquarium?

It's a turtle tank and I took him out first... Dogs and cat locked up. No one else home and the front door was locked. I had glasses on and never shot at anything directly only at angles to limit reflection back to me directly, except when I was burning stuff :)

Good deal man safety is first a choice and ultimately becomes habit.

Lol he would be bumping into the glass constantly trying to get free. Same as a turtle with perfect vision. My turtle swam in the same spot all day every day for 3 years straight.
Just sitting there with his nose against the glass paddling away and never going anywhere....
I gotta give him credit he never gave up.

Once I had an aquatic turtle, when i bought it they told me he wouldn't grow. In about one month it didn't fit the aquarium anymore. How come your does not grows in 3 years?

edit: totally off laser topic

A little off topic yes lol I had one of those diving turtles that dies after a week. Only mine lived for 5 years and he did grow, he went from tiny to small :D

Edit: BTW + for ya shane nice pics. I just got a focus adapter for my sh-032 from flaminpyro. I like this laser a lot its pretty solid and heavy.
