Maybe I'm just bad at searching but I spent most of the day trying to find an LED(s) and a driver(s) that will give me an output of ~1500-2000 lumens (building a dive light for scuba). Any advice? There just seems to be so many options it's hard to narrow down. I found a lot on dx.com, I've heard mixed things about the lasers there but they sell CREE LEDs- those are decent right?

Thanks in advance!

The Crees are decent ..

They are pretty much the standard when it comes to keeping reef tanks.
I have had crees running over saltwater tanks for several years now with no issues at all. Don't over drive them or let them get too hot, and they'll last a long time ..

As with anything though, I suppose your mileage may vary.

You won't find a single led that makes 1500-2000 lumens it will take at least 2 LEDs to do that. I like both the XM-L2 and XM-L t6 LEDs. At 3A they should produce 1000 lumens.

Alright, thanks. How about reflectors? Thoughts on THIS type that use multiple diodes?
