thanks all, but I'm off laser hobbing for a time ('till I get some pennies to buy at least a BR diode )

does it still produce a beam or termination point you can see at distance?

if so then its a really low powered 445 laser, maybe safe to use without glasses, from what I read these diodes can only go down to 100mW 50mW if you are lucky, so if its really low then that might be cool for a small hand held laser thats blue and not $100's for a 435, 457, 447 or whatever the other non 405 blue lasers out there are


also like someone said, get a cheep 405 diode - you could probably go get a cheep bluray player for like $30 USD and take it apart and have a 405 diode which should work fine

mine is roughly outputting 0.1mw (being generous) haha
