I'm home for the holidays, and my family has a package of these - I can confirm that they DO use PWM for the 50% setting. Great deal BTW, not sure you could beat $5.67 each for CREE torches on even DX or a clone, and even if you could, this is pretty darn good for North American retail. (though quality feels below DX)
