Exclamation Atmel plcc flash chip AT49F040! HELP!

Does anyone know a chip of the same equivalent of the Atmel plcc flash AT49F040 in 32 DIP format, preferably 8MB or more?

If anyone would like to know, I would be using this for a gameboy cartridge mod. Instead of using a hard to handle/extract PLCC chip I'd like to use a 32 pin DIP ZIF socket!

I don't think a 32 dip package would fit in a Gameboy cartridge. I don't find plcc chips hard to use if you buy an extractor.
Sorry I don't think a 32 dip zif socket and the chip will fit in the cartridge.

EDIT: Just checked one of my carts, a 32 dip package definitely wouldn't fit.

Oh of course not! I would cut out the top portion and rewire where the old chip once was!

Well, I did a bit of looking around, and I only found 32 pin DIP in 4MB sizes, and not 8MB.

With that said, there is an equivalent (although it is only 4 MB), called the AM29F040B, I am sure you have heard of it.

Here's a link: AM29F040B 90P Flash Memory 4MEG 512K x 8 Bit 90NS 32pin DIP 5Volt | eBay

The pinout doesn't really matter, since you are putting it in a zif socket, right?
