420nm Laser?

It could very well be 420nm. Roithner-laser carries a diode at this *wavelength

That's 50mW bare diode for $900. This is 350mW turn-key unit for $80. It's hardly the same thing. :na:

They do, and they are engineered to be that way. Whereas most 415-420nm diodes you'll ever see in the hobby are freak diodes.

I saw nothing childish being said, I don't see how his comment warranted a "grow up will you."

It was the subtext of his reply [ isn't that special ] followed by this. :na:. That's a childish thing to do.

There are at least two companies as I recall that do sell diodes at those frequencies, CNI is one, the other is Crystal Laser.

This finally arrived. The good news is that it works down to 100V straight out of the box and includes a pair of goggles. The bad news is it's ~280mW at 406nm.

I'm kind of busy at the moment, but I'll post a review when I get a chance.
