They look a little shifty to me, I may be wrong, but i belive most 532nm glasses are redish in color. Have you tested them, shine a laser through them and see if it is still bright on a wall, or use an LPM if you have one.
@ jfp999- Im pretty sure that is NOT the shipping(for USA) here, read this:Shipping Information :: Dragon Lasers
The shipping for a pair of glasses and even some diffraction gratings should'nt be more than $18

I agree with kingdave. The glasses do look sketchy. Because of the color spectrum most green laser glasses are red.

Yep, pretty much. Read the terms and conditions on the left side of the page in the link, he basically says that you 'should have them tested by a qualified biomedical technician, and the seller isnt responsible for the appropriate or inapropriate use of the items'
So he basically is telling you they arent good glasses, and if you go blind, then its your fault for not testing them before use....

Thanks :) O and I ordered the 50mw from LEDShoppe. So excited.
EDIT: Where can I get ir filter material to like glue/tape/something to secure it over my laser? And should I have put a special note to LEDShoppe to make sure it works properly or there is no point in that as most of them work? (I didn't put in a note).
EDIT2: How do I edit my signature for the forum?
EDIT3: How long will it take for the laser to arrive to me approximately? (USA Upper Eastern Sea Board)

#1 search the forum for IR filters, or look online, though for a 50mW, as long as you are using it outside, IR filters arent hugely important. putting a note probably wouldnt help.
#2 Either go under the forum jump bar and click user control panel, or click your private message box and look at the menu on the left of the page.
#3 I have no idea, never bought from them before, but depending how it was shipped, probably no more than 2 weeks.

2 weeks is so long........
EDIT: Do you know any other places to get reliable lasers from? I want a different color. Like a 50mw red or purple or blue-violet. But I want to get it from like somewhere that accepts credit cards and not just paypal. Something like LEDShoppe's checkout or Amazon or any other normal online shopping check out. Rayfoss.com requires me to mail and do paypal and all that other stuff. Not that I don't trust it. Its that my mom won't get it if she has to do that. She had her credit card stolen once on the internet and she's paranoid.
EDIT2: Are you on all the time? lol

There are alot of different places online to get lasers, most are unreliable and from china. So shipping takes some time, but rayfoss o-like and ledshoppe are all decent companies to buy from. However, if you want a real nice laser, your going to have to spend ALOT more money.
You can try egay as well, all the <5mW violets sold on there are well known to be way overspec, some near 100mW.

EDIT: As for DIY, red and bluray are rather cheap to complete and you can get powers upto around 300mW for red around $70 or less depending on the parts and blu-ray around 100-150mW for around the same price, again depending on parts.
You can build your own, or buy ones built by other members here.

I think the next laser I'm getting after this green one is the blue or blue-violet one. By Egay do you mean ebay? If so which vendors have been reliable? And do you know the different order statuses for LEDShoppe? Its on "Awaiting Shipment".
