issues with green laser pointer

One, I am not an idiot... I know that lasers can f­uck up the eyes('cept for the <5mW ones... I don't think they do much), that doesn't change the fact that I have compulsions that are VERY hard to control. Two, I originally came to the forum to find out what was wrong with my current laser, and when it broke I looked for suggestions for a better one. You recommended the 30mW, and I had a question about it that you all STILL haven't answered. All you have done is insult me from your high horse. All I wanted was this question answered. How bad could a 30mW damage someone's eyes? Nothing more, nothing less. Now will someone who isn't an asshole PLEASE answer this for me? Thank you...

I don't know if there is a straight answer to you question. Less than one second is probably fine, but of course it's not good for you. If you stare into it, then you'll be sorry, so DON'T DO IT! Obviously. And don't take <5mw laser for granted. Be careful and use goggles if you can, and take care of others around you  . Btw, do you really have ocd, or are you just curious  ? :-?
