200mw Gatlin Duty Cycle and Batt Life?

I have one of these on order:

New Gatlin Green laser 200mW/waterproof/adjustable [OLGA-200] - $209.02 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products

(oops - thats the Canadian price - US price is 189.00)

(still "processing" since 4 business days ago - hasn't shipped yet)

... and it seems to me that it perhaps has SUPERIOR heat-sinking.

For those that own this:

Did the documentation perhaps have a stated duty cycle? (there isn't a duty cycle listed on the website, or w/ any other site that I have seen this item - just Focalprice, I think).

For the forum experts - any opinions/educated guesses on the duty cycle (short of "lets burn one out on purpose and see...")

For those that own it: What can you say about battery life?
Also: the battery that came with it - is that a rechargable or non-rechargeable? (Also in the same order I have 2 other items, a C123 charger w/ rechargable C123, and a tripod)

I would email "Susie"; dunno about getting an accurate reply(?) - I've already emailed "her" about metering it before it ships... STILL haven't received a reply, I guess they are very busy ...

Thats what i call a great Laser ! To burn some Tape is like cutting Butter with a hot knife.
Watch out, the Laser comes with a rechargable Batterie but no charger. So you have to order
seperatly a charger. The great shape of that Laser does a very good heatsink.

Thanks for your reply (I FINALLY got a reply to this).

So I can assume that the documentation (if any) does not state a duty cycle. I will follow your advice, and keep it down to a minute *AT MOST*.

Later as I get some DIY experience (maybe) perhaps I can check it out, and if possible mod it for better heat sinking. Just an idea.

Yes... in an average summer (any given week), daily temperatures are ~ in the 90's... occasionally going above 100.

Right now, the average daily temperature is about ~ 102-104.

Yesterday / today, they predicted 108.

... and it's not even august yet ...

Usually, I check my mail AT NIGHT (usually 2 or 3 in the morning actually - mailbox is about a 1 minute walk from my apartment). But lately I've been expecting a lot of small packages... so I have been going out at about 12:00 noon... on average the mailman gets to my apartment at about ~ 11:00, and finishes around 11:45.

At 12:00 noon, it's like Dantes Inferno out there.
