I can't find anywhere the voltage you need for an LPC 826 diode, however I do know that it is 250mW.

Does that mean that depending on the current I supply, I need to adjusts voltage so it does not go over 250mW?

So say I want to give it 250mA of current, would I supply 1V?

Thanks

No, you just limit it to 250mA of current, voltage takes care of itself. As long as your input voltage is higher than the diodes Vf + the dropout of whatever regulator you're using. In the case of red diodes, their Vf is around 3V or so. Around 5V for blue, and green (direct green, not DPSS) even higher at around 9V.
