Default 3D laser hologram tube : IDEA

A couple days ago I was watching TV and a star wars commercial came up showing a hologrem, ect. ect. ect.....

I came up with the idea of getting a clear tube and gluing on mirrors on both ends and shining a laser on one of the morrirs to make a hologram.

The mirrors would have to be indented in such a way that when a beam of light hit that one area that it would shoot it off in a particular way.Then,it would reflect off the other mirror and and hit the next mirror in a different place until it drew out a shape.Eventually it would have to come to a blank non-reflective material to stop.

The device would be programed so that when told to it would move in such a way that it could preform baisic movements.

Lastly,it could be hooked up to a speaker to project sound.

But this is just a crazy idea, and on the verge of being impossible.

To make any complex shapes, you couldn't use a "normal" mirror, nano tech(think the T1000) would be perfect for it however thats a ways off Alas on a large enough scale; with the tube properly coated inside & out and filled with just the right medium, and the ended capped off with some sort of cluster of micro faceted mirror/emitter/dampener all in one device its more than possible....

====================

+;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;+
+;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;+
====================

So lets say that's the tube [=].... Those end cap are made of the cluster devices, granted I'm not really sure how you'd control it.... Anyway if i got this right... The beam would be emitted from point x to the other side at which point the beam could be bounced off a mirror device [+] in wide or narrow beam pattern and or absorbed as per instructed to make a "form"....

For a more complex image using this design, I'd think that fainter beam would be the ideal choice, one for cost savings... and two because of the medium [;;;] in the tube(gas or liquid) the all in one unit could be programmed to cross beams at any x,y,z vector location in the tube. the crossed beams should be brighter resulting in a visible standout of light....
