I think Extreme lasers on eBay sells 80mW 473nm blue modules (I think the item # is BLM100) for around $600 when the auctions end.

Yup. Its actually rated for 100mW. You may not get all 100 though. And he lists one like every week. I have seen one go for $500. And I have seen them go for $900.
not anymore, they all start at $1000 now

DL sell products from CNI, from which I heard are decent quality. It would probably be better to see how much they are from CNI first, before commiting as I can't comment on their modules. Their service is top notch though...

Yes, but, you can get it directly from CNI too. And CNI is always good!

I was just flicking through the ol' laser sites looking for good deals on laser modules and damn! Dragon have some really good deals, looks like they've turned more in to a modules place than a handhelds place :)

Do peoples think this is a good place to buy labbies, or are there cheaper/better places around? Would buying direct from CNI be better?

i heard its better to go straight to CNI
climbak just got a 500mW green module that does 592mW from CNI for $800 and after shipping and bank transfer fees it cost him $980 total.....whereas at dragon lasers a 400mW rated green labby goes for $1099

when i save up some cash im definitely buying a module straight from CNI

Yeah, straight from CNI seems to be the way to go. I wonder how much a 100mW blue labby would cost direct :D
