what i'm lookin for is schematics or looking to buy a 405nm driver that runs off of 6V and is small enough to fit inside a flashlight mod. I was going to make topic in buy section but didn't know how frequent everyone is in that forum.
all i need is for it to power an xbox 360 hd dvd player 405nm diode and do it off of 2 CR123 batteries at 6V total.
I'd love to build one but have no idea how for 6V and not only that, I hear the 360 hd dvd diodes are super sensitive.

BlueFusion will make you a custom driver board for pretty cheap, I'd ask him.

I am still working on my super compact driver with a minimum input voltage of 2.7 volts, but output up to 27 volts. I might even add a pot and sell a few.

I'm preparing to sell a driver I've made up that is very compact and fits within the Aixiz module.  Unfortunately, as is the problem with almost any linear regulator driver you'll find, it won't be able to supply 4.5-5V from 6V input, you'll need at least 7.25V (Output+2.25V) for mine, or I've seen chips that can possibly do 6.4V (Output+1.4V).

You may want to consider either a different battery configuration,  such as one of the 3xAAA flashlights using 3 10440 li-po batteries or a single li-po or alkaline flashlight with a boost driver.

What is the max mA output and cost?

The limit for the chip is 800ma, the most I set it up to 400ma with short duty cycle.  Cost is yet to be determined, but it'll be around the same as others I've seen on here.
