I'm delivering criticism to people who can't be taught simple logic and who can only give irrelevant responses. Besides, we're talking about a bunch of hypocrites who wag their "lasers are not toys" fingers while using their other hand to play with a cheap 50mW pen. I think this whole maturity...
Hey, I never actually told anyone not to join in on the group buy. It's your fault you didn't notice that. What I did do was try to make people think about what they were doing. What I got in return was whining. Apart from the rep I got from Cyparagon (which I thank him for), not one person had...
Not distraught (obviously) but still dissappointed about not winning the prize.
If you will enjoy your 650 or were going to buy one anyway then, of course, you're not one of the people I was talking about. Apart from the whining, anyway; so why did you in the first place?
My hole? If you're...
Not 635nm after all, huh? What a surprise.
Fools. If you had listened to a voice of reason instead of whining, you might not have wasted your money. Neg rep me all you want, but you still know it's true. If only DX knew all it has to do is spread rumours in this place, it's sales would probably...
Mine arrived on the 15th of January.
The goggles aren't really all that bad. As a guess, I would say they make the dot look like it came from a 5 or 10 milliwatt red. They're not really suitable if you want to burn patterns in things with precision. I had to use a small transparent blue coin...
This risk you're talking about; it's not like 10% chance of getting a 660 or a 20% chance of getting a 635. It's whatever probability you can derive from one person starting a thread claiming they got a 635, and I repeat, without a spectrometer: the probability being x% ie unknowable. Would DX...
If you had bothered to read the rest of my post, you would have figured out I already have one. I don't just buy things just because I have money, I give each potential purchase the amount of thought they deserve. "Do I already have one?" "Will I get my moneys worth of satisfaction (15 seconds...
Yeah, no problem. I know what it's like to wait for something coming by mail and be disappointed. A lot of people here seem willing to throw their money away on a blind lottery. I suppose it's a decent choice for someone who doesn't have a red pen and would still be happy with a 660nm.
Although...
Don't get too excited everyone. I ordered one of these in early/mid November, got it on the Saturday before Christmas and I can see that it's 650/660nm. I know that colour with its deep cherry red compared to 630nm rated neon red LEDs.
Thanks for the review. I just ordered this a few days ago as my first burning laser. It's good to see such detailed info on it instead of having to wait for delivery.
Do you have the blue anti-red protective goggles from Rayfoss? If so, how well do they work with the FWT?
I came across this thread and saw those images and just had to post. I get this too with a red LED display alarm clock after lights out. I tend to spend the early post-midnight hours looking at the screen before calling it a night. I wouldn't call it violet because it's hard to tell dim colours...
I don't think he's just simply stupid. He probably got used to the risks he took working out for him which leads to complacency. His intuitions and reality parted ways but I guess that's fixed now at the cost of his eyesight. As for scanning the beam across his eye after the accident, the fear...
Well yeah; that's what I meant. I looked into the red one in my sig a couple of times and when the batteries started running down, I looked into it more. It's like a bright red point. I wouldn't even think of doing that with my green one.
How do you quote what someone said AND assign their username to their words? The quote tags dont seem to work with:
Secondly, how do you subscribe to threads without email notification?
