Hi everyone,
so I have this strange issue. I apply around 458 mA to diode and around 58mA (around 2V) to heater. But when I power it for more than couple seconds diode starts to dimm and colour shifts to yellow-ish... That scared me so I quickly disconnected the laser. Laser is on heat sink...
I saw from other forum from holokid it can run with 500-800 mA which is twice the recommended current???. After measuring voltage across diode (powering 400 mA) it was around 2.8 V which is a lot more than max 2.2 V it should be running at given current. From this point I think there's not much...
Hi,
I checked continuity and there's no problem. I don't think it's necessary to use solid copper wire. And as said previously, current is flowing, voltage is correct on PTC.
Yes tried through dummy and it's ok. Well I'm super sad as I paid a lot for this unit but trying to deal with seller :) anyway thank you for your suggestions
That's also what I was thinking that it should work even without heater... and I ranged current from like 50mA to 400 mA and nothing. More and more I start thinking that it is actually dead. But apart of no light I have no other clue what is wrong with it.
I switched white wire to the GND and nothing happened. Is it possible I somehow fried the PTC? Thx for datasheet. Also current through PTC is around 50 mA
It doesn't work at all. Yes I checked everything on my MM and everything is powered correctly. Soldering was challenging but current flows, and there's voltage across PTC so wiring should be ok. I basically recreated same circuit as shown in first post with two LM317 . Attached is picture my...
Hi,
yesterday I received my PL 530 and seems it doesn't work. Feeding 1.9 V to heater and 400 mA to diode and nothing. Is there possible it can be fault from manufacturer? Is it very sensitive device to exceeding recommended ratings? Is there any way telling what could go wrong?
Thanks
