Try to shoot a moon illuminated scene at ISO 200 F16 1/200 and you will discover the moon is merely reflective, and not an emitter. If you took a picture of a rock outside on a sunny day, you'd need to stop your camera down and shoot at low ISO to capture the details on the rock. The same is...
I had a similar question, so I won't be of much help. However, nice keyboard.
About the "monster reds"... what's the cheapest monster red with razor sharp focus? Any pre-assembled Chinese hold-to-fire lasers available using these new diodes?
The fact that you can see the grey rock in direct sunlight means a significant amount of light is being reflected back at you. The reason the moon looks so bright, is because it is juxtaposed against the black void of space. It's not actually that bright, you can rarely see the moon in the light...
What is currently the most powerful red with the ability to focus down to a fine dot? In the past it seemed like the only thing available under 20-30 dollars were the 100mw 650nm Reds in the 301-3 hosts. I'm seeing some 1 watt 650nm popping up on some over-priced laser websites, but haven't...
1 watt blue lasers aren't that special/expensive. That said, your first laser probably shouldn't be 1 watt... a little casual mistake that you don't think is a big deal could cause serious damage. Look up "Hit in eye with 1000mw 445nm blue laser" if you want to know what can happen with a 1 watt...
They're really easy to disassemble actually. Just unscrew the bottom, remove the foam with tweezers or a screwdriver, press the module out, and unscrew the lens assembly to fully remove the module and driver.
I'm not sure how it could be fixed though without replacing something.
The green pens on ebay would be more than sufficient. You don't want a 200mW laser for what you're saying as it's only a matter of time before someone gets hit in the eye with a blast or green or infared light. Waving them around in a crowd seems like a bad idea.
The 200mW laser pointers for 20...
The switch actually broke, ironically enough. So I did have to take it apart. I used a couple screwdrivers instead of the tweezers. It looks like there is a metal ring that was supposed to be pressed onto the switch, but it is poorly fitted and maybe popped out so the assembly turned sideways...
I have a feeling the rear assembly would need to be taken apart to put a metal end piece in, as the base would need to have a lip. So, even if I could pull the rubber end piece out from the back I'd still need to take it apart. I'm a little afraid to try. If I have to get it open I'm sure I...
Is there anyone non the forum that could machine a copper clickie button to replace this ugly green rubber?
I purchased this host and I polished the copper and stainless steel, but the green rubber end cap just stands out. Note, this is a stock picture of the host end cap, not my unit.
I...
Oh, I knew it was familiar. I guess that's Isaac's Aquarius. I guess I've seen quite a few of his posts while lurking the forum during the past month.
Anyway, the important part is a simple cylinder with a nice, press to fire button with a durable switch. I actually like the 303 hosts if it...
Where do I find a host like this:
Except, for the top switch to be press to fire. Not toggle on/off.
I saw the laser on the forums but I can't remember who it belongs to.
I really wanted to get in on this, oh well. Unfortunately I didn't know if i would be here to accept them if it took a couple months. Really wished we had some kind of delivery estimate.
How about high power (300mw +) super low divergence reds of any wavelength? I can get razor sharp focus on my cheap 20 dollar red. So much so that I can light a green match from 4 feet away. Also, I'd like a 303 style switch on the host (press to fire) if possible. It makes it a lot more...

Re: Group buy on brand new S1 lenses
How about beam divergence? Of course it also depends on the diode, but It seems that the three element lens has a much tighter focus, although lower power output. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm wondering how this lens is for precision/power density. Do we have...
Re: Group buy on brand new S1 lenses
Are the lenses being shipped to someone in the US to be distributed? Or individually shipped from Isreal? Are the lenses being made in Isreal, or being purchased from China/another country, shipped to Israel, and then individually shipped (distributed) to...
