Hi! I have a couple more questions now that I've done a little browsing... I've looked at the Survival Laser USA site, and the C6 can have three different driver pills. Which one would you recommend? The standard or drilled one?
Also, would the parts for the homemade driver I mentioned in my...
Awesome! Thank you guys so much for helping me out and being so patient with me! I'll order parts as soon as I can, then I'll show you what I did! Thanks so much!
First of all, thanks to both of you for helping me out!
Second, the capacitor is just before the laser diode in the circuit, so would that be, as you say, on the output? Also, will these 18650s fit in a AA holder? And how long will they last before I need to recharge them?
Hey, hey, hey, everyone! It's been FOREVER! Yikes! Anyway, I gotz some questions for y'all.
I finally decided to start on my second project (laziness is bad, so work hard kids!), which is a 445nm laser. I'll tell you what I'm using, then I'll tell you what i need to know.
Using:
LM317
1 Ohm...
Well, if you want to build one, it's fairly easy. To start, you'll need:
LM317T Voltage Regulator
Resistor (value to be determined)
1N4001 Diode
10 uF 16V Capacitor
And of course, wire and rosin core solder.
Before I go any further, tell me which diode you're using and what power output you...
So, no potentiometer? In that case, 1.25V/0.9A = 1.4 Ohms... So should I use a 1 ohm resistor? Also, would these Li-ion batteries fit in a 2 AA holder ?
The driver I will make will be this:
LM317T
100 Ohm Potentiometer
2 10 Ohm resistors in parallel
1N4001 Diode
10 uF 16 or 25 Volt Capacitor
So, if I wanted to get a power of 1000mW, should I give the diode 1 amp of current? If so , would 8 AAs be an appropriate power source?
Hello,
I would like to ask for some advice on laser building. I recently constructed a violet laser and would like to build a blue one. Preferably, this new device would have a power output of 750mW-1000mW. I know how to build the proper driver, but I would like to know which diode I should...
