Okay thank you, you cleared it up. I was confusing the capacity for amps. I see now that the driver will only draw what it needs. I was thinking the capacity was too much for the driver to handle. Thank you, I understand now!
If you have a li-ion 18650 (2600mah each) pack made of 9 cells in total (groups of 3 for a total of 11.1volts) would this battery give an output of 23 amps?
From a few Google searches it says that batteries in series wont increase the mah? So 3 groups of 3 2600mah batteries for 11.1v would be...
To my eye the beam doesn't really seem much brighter at what it is set at now .34 then my 5mw 532nm I sort of expected a more solid beam. Is there a big difference in the beam from say .34 and .43? How long did yours last at .43?
So I tested the amps it was pulling 0.03 amps on my meter, the laser has a screw POT on it I just touched the pot with a screwdriver (didn't even turn it) and the amps jumped to 0.16 amps and the laser started to barely shine green. So I think the POT may be bad or have a loose connection with...
So I ordered a 30mw 532nm module from a US seller on Ebay, and like an idiot they shipped it in a plain envelope (not even a bubble mailer) with NO packing materials at all, from California to North Carolina.
I am assuming it is dead because of its painful trip here, I am wondering if it could...
Looking to purchase a 532nm module (around 20mw) from someone is the US. I need this soon (can't wait for it to be shipped from China) so if anyone has one or knows any US based companies that sell it please let me know, thanks!

That guy sells them for 13.99 buy it now. He also lists one for auction every 3 days so you can get it cheaper if you just bid on it normally. That's how I got it for $8. Just takes a few...
I just picked up this host for only $8 it takes x2 18650. Now I am looking for more large hosts doesn't have to have a handle just needs to be able to fit 3+ 18650's. I was looking at the Skyray king but its my last resort. I really like the large Olight hosts but considering they are all over...
The DC Forward Voltage of the LED is 3.9V - 4.5V. The driver operating voltage is 3.2v- 4.2v and 700ma @ 3.7v. Maybe this driver is too strong? If the LED says voltage 700ma and the driver puts out 700ma at 3.7v a freshly charged battery will put out 4.2v. So that would mean more current then...
If you know of a driver that would be better I could use another one. I just wanted to use one I had because well I already have it and it has different modes. The new UV LED I found says 3w and they claim peaks at 370nm although I doubt it's 3w but it is significantly more expensive then normal...
Thank you for the reply! Okay so the UV 3w LED I found says max current 700ma. The T6 Driver measured 3000ma on the highest mode. The Q5 driver reads 700ma plus or minus a few on its highest setting so It seems like a straight swap will work. This may also be another stupid question but if I...
3W UV Emitter
Hello, I have a spare Cree host laying around and wanted to swap out the T6 emitter for one of these 1W UV emitters. Should I use the driver from the T6 or should I just run it straight to the power? I also have a Q5 driver if that would be any better I think it's less powerful.
Yes thanks you! One of the LEDS was shorted making the wire melts therefor thats why it smoked. I have been using the wall adapter to power it now and it seems to be fine. I measured volts and its running 4.27volts perfect for my LEDS! Yes that's correct, all 92 at the same time. Thanks!
I...
Thanks for the quick reply. This lamp I am making is for my friend and I am actually suppose to give it to them today, so thanks I need all the help I can get! Here Is a little more information...
The LED specs say "VF(V) If=20mA =3.5-4.5" for the led I have. They are 3mm RGB LEDS
The Wall Wart...
I am making a led lamp...and I have about 92 LEDS on it. The lamp is sort of like a tree it has lots of LEDS basically branching out from a base. I have them all wired up now (I had to use thin wire 30awg) and just testing them using a single panasonic 3100mah 18650 they all light up, but after...
Re: NEW YEAR SALE: The MagicSticks - 1x18650 (2x18350) - Custom Laser Hosts $10-$25 O
Do you have more photos of the MagicSticks V3? Or video possibly showing it taken apart ect. Very interested in it!
EDIT: Oops nevermind see it in your signature!
I am in Charlotte. How about you?
Survival lasers sell the extended copper heatsink I am looking for something like that but larger or just aluminum. Something like this even...but not quite as large. I may have to find someone to make one I guess.
