I'm looking for something to replace the default focus grip of the axisz module. Something bigger so when I twist to focus, my fingers arent so close to the laser (currently I get burned by the laser, and also dust easily gets into the lens because of the proximity of my fingers to the lens)...
I've got one of these: Atten APS3003Si DC Power Supply 0-30V / 3A
If I just hook it up to the diode, start from 0V and up the voltage until I have a current of 0.2A or whenever it starts lasing, will that be ok for the diode? Or do i still need a driver?
One thing I still don't understand is this whole harvesting from projectors business. From an economics perspective it seems very out of whack as it's so wasteful.
E.g. the infamous c___o projector that's currently being harvested for its 445nm 1W+ diodes. Say the projector retails for 500 and...
Just concerned about the stuff I can't see - does 445nm release much IR or UV? I've decided to get me a 1 - 1.5 watt watt beam and will be getting safety glasses, but just concerned about any invisible crap that may get through
Im looking for a good pair of glasses that's been reviewed (hopefully with pictures or a video) so i can see the actual amount of glare that passes through
Money isn't an issue, safety comes first. What are some recommended glasses?
