Need help finding materials for a laser
I'm trying to build a blu-ray laser... Long story short, I need to find a lens and housing for it. What I would do is get the laser diode, put it into a housing, and then put the housing into a little tube. Inside the little tube, I'd insert a protoboard instead of a PCB. New to lasers, need help with drivers.
Alright, so... I'm new to DIY in general, but especially new to lasers.. That being said, I need some help with a project I had in mind. I bought a blu-ray writer diode off of e-bay for $30, that can run at ~100mw with a 100% duty cycle (or should I just say no duty cycle?). I have a vague idea...- metroidpwner
