    DIY Homemade laser diode driver

Thanks trublu832! This will help me out a lot. :)

    DIY Homemade laser diode driver

on trublu832's post on pg.57, where are the pos+ Neg- wires to the LD and the power source connected? Also, what kind of resistor and what kind of pot. are you using on that?

On that circuit picture (the PC board one) that Supernova posted, where do the pos+ Neg- wires form the battery and to the LD go to? Maybe it's just me but I can't tell. Oh, and aren't 10 ohm 1/2 watt resistors a different color band sequence? Thanks :)

Oh yeah, I forgot. Do I solder stranded wire or solid core to the pos+ Neg- pins on the LD? or does it matter. Thanks for the help

Well I finally found a 47uf radial lead capacitor. Still... no 10-ohm 1/2-watt resistors though. Where would I parralel two 10-ohm 1-watt resistors? There are wires on each side of the resistor. Thanks

Yeah, mine is still 47uf. The pins are on the sides if that helps to describe it, and I think it has "axial leads"

So... I got it mostly right I think. I had to use a 25-0hm rhetostat (is that the word?) and I had to use a 1-watt 10-0hm resistor. Also, whats the difference between capacitors? I think I got the wrong kind because they don't have the 47 uF in the right kind, I used an electryolic capacitor. If...

    DIY Homemade laser diode driver

Wait... I thiught this driver worked for the Stonetek 16X (SLD1236V I think) Laser diode. Someone mentioned a 650mW senkat. If it is for this "senkat" one will it still work for my sony 16X? I hope it does, but if not can someone give me a link to a driver that will work (if this one doesn't) Thanks

One more thing. All my radioshack had was a 10 0hm 1-watt resistor, and a 25 0hm potentiometer. Would these parts work? I heard the potentiometer will work but I don't know about the resistor. Sorry if this is a total noob question... I am a noob I guess... thanks for whatever feedback I get in...

    DIY Homemade laser diode driver

I got here late and I didn't read the 52 or so pages so I don't know if this has been answered yet... I'm using a SONY 16X Laser Diode. I got it from Stonetek.org a while back and I think the product code is SLD1236V or something... If I were to run it of 2 AA's (3V I think) would I need a...
