Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm looking for a diode for a DIY project and found this one. It looks like it's cut in half, so my question is can I just use it as a normal diode in an Aixiz module? :thanks:
I am the one who doesn't know what he's talking about? I'm the one with the laser in my hands. I'm not talking about brightness. If this was "100mw" l would feel something when it hit my skin. Just because your ebay laser was overpowered, doesn't mean everyone else who buys one is going to have...
The 405 is 10mw. The red is most definitely doing around 5mw, and the green is, well, you know what's happening with the green. The 405 is NOT doing anywhere near 100mw. I would most definitely know by now.
I never had it on more than 15 seconds. Also I don't think having no heatsink made the green dim down. It was pretty much like this out of the package. The 405 and 650 havn't had any troubles either. Also I don't know much about heatsinks, but on a DPSS green I heard it's located under the YVO4...
As some of you know I built a altoids RGB laser. The Instapark green laser I purchased has been acting up. The light gets really large fluctuations in power (even for a DPSS) and most of the time the dot rests at a very low power, I estimate to be around 0.5mw. Any sudgestions?
It's a small world. But it's an even smaller laser world. Not 5 hours ago I was just reading this article: http://www.laserpointersafety.com/news/news/nonaviation-incidents_files/a6392218b70b40d2334943c4fc97e677-206.php
Then I find your post by accident. :wtf:
They all have their own driver. And excuse the messy wiring, it's only temporary until I get my switch that will change the laser that is being turned on. (Waaaaaaaaaay easier than re-wiring)
