the difference between the 2XAAA 3V and the 18650 3.7V is only .7V will that fry the driver of the laser? how can i test the max voltage that the driver of the 5mw silver green laser pen pointer can take?

the one that I'm asking about is the silver 5mw pen pointer that they sell on eBay.

I have a 5mw green laser pointer that's powered by 2XAAA batteries, is it possible to use a 18650 battery instead of the 2XAAA batteries? will this make its output stronger or will it burn it ? Thanks for your help.

the output is still working but the batteries deplete after using it for a very short time ...

i bought a 5mw green laser pointer from eBay, it worked fine for the first couple of months but now the batteries become very hot when i try to use it, i tried all kinds of batteries and it's the same ... did anyone else face the same problem? is it fixable? Thanks,
