Yes indeed I can't wait to get that host you sent Ehgemus should be another really nice little laser. Thanks for the offer but I think I'm going to keep it like that haha make it a little different. Although I am interested in those blanks you make those could be very useful. But we'll have to...
Hahahaha your taste in hosts are impressive sir. lol but I'm afraid I might have beaten you to this one :P It's not exactly the same but from what I see the only difference is mine uses 3x CR123's so yours would be smaller. Have a look at my first blu ray build I finished a while ago ->...
Thanks for the info Flaminpyro I do have a small soldering iron but I just didn't think it would be an issue but now I see nothing is safe from the wrath of the soldering iron so I'll be a bit more cautious next time. I just ordered another I mean at only 7$ for it wasn't much of a loss...
Saving my 10mW from DX haha.
I got it in the mail the other day but the leads werent even attatched so I attempted to solder them back on but I got too close to the tiny little resistor and it fell off. I have yet to find it.... The diode should still be good though because I haven't even...
I did Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for a couple years. Then I moved and it's quite expensive for a month to month thing. So now I just build lasers in my garage to fill my time :D
As from what I know we use current regulation because LD's are very stupid and very hungry. So as they heat up they eat more and more current hence the LD LED's from over powering it. ( Please anyone correct me if I am wrong, I wish to learn too :) )
I've been on fire these last couple days. One build after another. Those weeks of waiting for parts is now paying off and all the pieces of the puzzle are coming together(isn't it the greatest ?!) haha. Anyways I ordered a 30mW O-like module and a stainless steel cree kit from modwerx. I...
lol yes I'm sure it is we'll have to test it out with your LPM when we meet up soon and we might be able to give the info to FrancoRob to put on the chart. It'll be some useful info added to the chart IMO. Thanks Glenn ! :D
haha thanks ! I bought a cheapy CPU heatsink at Frys and took it to a local machinist and had him drill out a perfect hole since the tools I had couldn't make it through.. But after I used a bandsaw to trim the outter fins to make it a little more stationary lol
