thanks guys. ill probably stick to a 1 watt 2 cell aa i just got my ld in the mail today along with the housing. i fired it up straight off the batt's and it worked greate! i then ran a cap parallel and a 10 ohm resistor in series and it would not burn black tape although it was pretty bright...
