My laser burned at the focal point very easily... within 2 seconds it would light a match... But i shorted the circuit, i think i put both wires on the + end of a 9v accidently and the light is super dim now... I bought a small driver that can run at up to 180ma, i'm going to get this diode...

i used the diagram from this website, one of the guys on the forum pointed me in this direction... It can be done - Laser driver i thought i'd give it a try because i was extremely bored at the time... there is no way this driver would fit into a sleek host, so i'm planning on just buying a...

Has anybody tried using a Bic lighter for their host?

yeah, DO NOT BUY FROM LASERDIY... i'm dealing with horrible customer service from them... and i'm pretty sure i'm down and out $100 because they either scammed me or my order just got lost in the mail, twice, because they sent another shipment a month later... Notice how their website doesn't...

    6x 8x 12x What's the difference???

So when people here say the made an 8x build... They took a diode from a 8x DVD burner?

Need a laser to "Have fun with" ._.'

I think you'd have the most fun with the 405nm 50mW Blue-Ray laser for $55 dollars from Rayfoss.com

Old 200mW modules back at O-Like

do people here on LPF sell kits for both of these modules?

I think www.0-like.com--Ê×Ò³ is your best bet... They have a 150mW blue ray laser pen for 95.99... but remember, the smaller the case it is in, the shorter you should have it on at a time. But none the less, if your spending $100 dollars on a laser, you're going to get a great product. You've...

My first laser build with VIDEO

Yeah, i just read on rog8811's website that for a Blue Ray diode, i should use a 10 ohm resistor (i knew that when i built it) and the voltage was just i had at the time... Then i decided to finish reading the website for other advice and saw that he says a 9v battery is the best source of power...

Are you wanting to buy a diode, module, housing, battery, and driver seperately and build your own or are you looking to buy one from a company?

PHR 803T with Aixiz Acrillyc Lens not burning, why?

Found my problem... i don't have a multimeter yet, but i used rog8811's website to put together the driver, and i didn't scroll down to see the suggested input power, he says 9v should work... but 6v allows the battery to work, i think the LM317 is outputting at or above 3V... What about the...

PHR 803T with Aixiz Acrillyc Lens not burning, why?

I was just about to ask that question about a voltmeter/ampmeter, but i decided to go looking around the forum first... Thanks LarryDFW! when i make a good enough laser i'll buy one of your amazing lenses, the fit right into an Aixiz module, right? does the lens come with the parts that go...
