So i tried to find an answer to that because i wanted to buy some AW batteries, and on their website, they have protected Li-ion cells and unprotected Li-Mn cells.
The max capacity unprotected 18650s you can buy from them, are 2200 mAh and the max capacity for their protected ones is 3400 mAh.
Another site is selling the same unprotected cells with the same mAh as Li-ions, so whats the difference?
All i read was that Li-Mn is just a sub category of Li-ion, so it doesnt matter, its same voltage and uses the same charger.
But if its just all the same, aside from them beeing litium manganese, which just seems to be a different chemical composition, i find it a bit confusing, unless there is some advantage in using it.
Also, why the lower mAh? Are they just more efficient or something? Like you cant really compare the mAh of a Ni-MH battery to that of an Alkaline battery?
