Timelords new toy...

I've been given a studio video camera for nothing by my dad only thing is, i gotta get some cables and some video hardware/software to convert to my pc. I know sweet bugger all about these things and anyone who does feel free to chip in and help.
The camera is a Sony colour video camera DXC-3000p..

??? I know he got it for nothing and is not interested in this sort of thing. But once i get it working and can transfer into my pc then my laser videos will be exelent quality. The camera works ok but i've gotta get cables and software etc...

I just went to a carnival at my school and theres a thing called the white elephant that has donated stuff that are for sale and there were two cameras just like that with the same case and everything going for $50! I didn't have that much on me but I got a really nice camera tripod maybe for my laser for $15

They are old about 15 years old but the quality is amazing. Theyare still used to this day too.
