Help... Green laser Repair Needed

I purchased a custom built green laser pointer several years ago from a guy in Canada. It was a gift for my son. The laser worked great, it would pop balloons and light matches, all sorts of cool stuff. My son unscrewed the wrong end of the case one day, trying to replace the battery. It twisted the wires inside together until they broke. It was 2 or maybe three wires. We had considered trying to re-solder them back ourselves, but really no nothing about such a repair. It seems like an easy fix, but there may be other issues. Can anyone direct me to someone who could make this repair ???
