Anyone rip apart any of these cheap $ lasers? It'd be interesting know which cheap ones have an actual diode can that can be popped out and replaced compared to something with an open diode built onto the PCB like I hear some really cheap ones have.

I have taken them apart. The LD is a flat chip. If you touch it in anyway, POOF! there goes your laser. Nothing useful in them. A 100 omh resistor and a switch.
