635nm diode question

I'm not sure if what you are using these diodes in is portable or not, but if you were to incorporate TEC cooling you should be able to crank up the 7mW 635nm diode to 10-12mW while keeping the 635nm output. It's the temperature that red shifts the diodes further towards the IR spectrum, keep it cool enough and you can achieve a higher output and the same frequency.

with such low powers, a tiny TEC in a host could be possible. would be a good approach for electrical insulation too.. i'll think about it!
