It's hard to choose a high powered portable!

I am trying to pick something out in the moderate power, portable green laser category. Budget is $500 max, must be 18650 powered, must be IR filtered. Hopefully this will be my last expensive green laser, and will last me for years to come.

I don't think burning is going to be a top priority, so I'm not sure if I really NEED an adjustable lens, but of course it is good to have. I am staying out of the non-filtered products just so I have less to worry about in the way of vision damage. It's harder to tell if your glasses are protecting you from something that you can't see! At moderate power levels I don't want to take any chances.

o-like 400mw, no focus adjustment $489

Rayfoss 200mw with focus, or 250mw without focus $295 (save a little money)

CNI PGL-III 300mw $465 GB before shipping & PP fees

It's a pretty tough choice. The alternate, bouncing around in the back of my head would be to forget the green and go big red. PGL-III-655 500mW (I'm not sure how visible big red would be, but it should be in the same price range).

Did I overlook any other good choice, or do you have any specific input that might make my deicision a little easier? Thanks!

The PGL-III-532 300mW sounds good, I think I sent you a PM back about that one. I'm getting the 400mW version.
The red 500mW one is I think the same price as 300mW of green, though it won't be as visible. The hosts are the same, but I really recommend 532nm.

I'm a Nebraska Cornhusker... so I wouldn't mind seeing a big red out there in someone's hands!

The best specs will probably originate from the PGL series from CNI. I have not yet seen any of the reviews of the o-like portable however. I would probably just end up with the PGL for a overall solid green laser.
