Well, the o-like 400mW green I got from them was dud.

The 1.2W tactical was not usable because there was sealant in between the waterproofing lens and the collimating lens.

Oh, and the 1.2W was underpowered. I was told at the time that they are only 1.2W +/- 100mW, BEFORE collimating and waterproofing lens. At the time I was new to lasers, so actually accepted that piss poor excuse.

Of the other four, the 250mW 660nm cute was a tad underpowered, only peaking at 224mW. The green 200mW was 180mW, with about 30mW of IR. The 635nm 200mW was actually a bit overspec, only gripe I have is that it took 43 days from order to delivery. Last one was a 405nm 400mW... it was bought second hand, but in perfect condition... underspec... was supposed to be >350mW, was only 320mW... with a GOOD battery... with the crapfire batteries it didn't even hit 300mW.

What really ticked me off, is that I remembered reading somewhere that they would test out lasers before shipping, so ordering the 400mW, and the 1.2W tactical, I actually sent them $5 asking them to just test out the lasers. Susie sent back the $5, and clearly the lasers were never tested.

I haven't ordered from o-like since november of last year... might if they have something truly interesting, but imo lazerer offers much better service. I'd rather pay $3 or whatever to have a laser LPMed, BEFORE it goes out, then deal with return shipping and whatever if I get a dud.

Man, you would think after awhile of dealing with problems like this, they would actuly test their lasers before sending them out .
I read that they do, on their site, before ordering. It is located in their area that is under shipping .
They obviously don't or there is no way anyone would recieve on that just does not work at all.
Mine came packaged in just the holster that they include , inside a padded envolope. No extra bubble wrap or anything. But I don't think whatever is wrong with it happened during shipping.

I'm sure they do a test. Most likely it's just to click a laser on to see if light comes out.

The 445nm would have turned on no problem, although the beam would have been horrible, with the crap in between the lenses.

The 532nm worked, sometimes but not others, I know it had a faulty tailcap, but even bypassed it was still extremely unstable, and basically just started appearing less and less powerful... as if a contact inside was getting loose.

Either way, both lasers I suspect passed the "does light come out" test. I doubt anything more is done.

I suspect lasers come into o-like, they are binned, and after that, just sit around. The testing done after is most likely extremely minimal. For green lasers, they also do not test for IR, so it's a real gamble imo.

Thanks for all your useful information InfinitusEquitas.
I hope this is helpful to others that are looking to buy from O-like.
Not ta say everyone will have to deal with things like this, but this does show just what a crap shoot it can really be.
I'll add more info on the fixing of the problem ,once I recieve the new module.

I went ahead and removed the module from the host.
Somewhere in china there is a guy with forearms the size of tree trunks! Lol
I'm not a small guy, and it took about all I had in me to get it to break loose.
I'll try to get a Picture of the module on here after I fix my daughter's car.

Well I have yet to here back from o-like on weather or not they shipped a module out for me. I have emailed them asking if they would Give me a tracking number. They must be too busy to answer email.

Does "Susie" have a specific email address or did you just email the address located on their main site under contact us?

No problem. I hope they answer your emails.

Edit: I still had not heard from o-like about the module they are supposed to send me.
So this morning I decided that I had been nice long enough.
I emailed Susie and told her that if she did not reply in two days , that I was going to paypal and filling a dispute.
Amazingly she replied at 8:30 tonight , and gave me a line of crap about how they had been busy doing matinance to their website.
She said she would send it out today.

Now it has been a few days. And finally o-like sent me an email giving me a tracking number. I might get this thing up and running after all.

Needless to say I will not be making any more purchases form o-like!

Their customer service sucks monkey ass!

Sorry to bump an old thread but I had to say something. I received a dud laser (the 1w Power Rock) from O-Like. I returned it at a hefty 18$ shipping rate and 2.5 weeks and numerous emails from me to them later, I have not heard anything back from Susie. Before she started ignoring my emails all together, she even wrote me back "why do you complain so much". Well, Susie, it's because I just spent 160 on a bullshit laser and you're return policy is a joke (as in you don't uphold it). She's shady...

Sorry to hear you got hosed too!

I have been tring to keep an eye out for people thinking about buying from No-like, and letting them know they stand amchance
Of getting ripped off

Unfortunately one guy can only do so much. I even give a warning about them in my signature.

If more people hear they ripped you off. They may loose more business.

Start your own thread in the company's section and give your opinion of No-like!
